The odisha government ready to auction three iron ore blocks and one bauxite deposit in January 2017. The state is also readying to auction five blocks which is a mixture of limestone and manganese blocks for auction.
State government also approved the formation of odisha mineral exploration corporation as 100% subsidiary of its mining PSU(Public sector unit) i.e Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC).
